Rwanda : Sacco’s urged to embrace information technology for efficient service delivery
Muhanga district authority believes that once all Saccos start using advanced technology, there will be an added value on service delivery to Rwandans.
The vice mayor in charge of finance and development in the district Mr. Francois Uhagaze said this when officiating the function of delivering about 12 computers and other technological equipments donated by Rwanda Cooperative Agency to the Sacco’s of Muhanga district Mach2012.
“These computers will solve the challenge that has been affecting Sacco’s to increase speed in service delivery, among which is the lack of computers”, he remarked.
He continued to explain that once all Saccos start using internet, it will solve all the challenges that have been affecting them in their service delivery whereby one will be able to withdraw or deposit the money in any Sacco regardless of the place.
The representative from Rwanda cooperatives agency which donated the computers Leon Bizimana said that the aim of donating those computers was to solve some of the challenges that have been affecting Sacco workers.
Among other things that were delivered include printers. Each computer is worth Rwf420 thousands and the printer at Rwf180 thousand.
