Rwanda : Local Bank, SACCO Ingenzi opens new premises
Recently members of SACCO Ingenzi Byimana celebrated inauguration of their new completed building worth 30 million Rwandan Francs.
The newly completed building took was constructed in 5 months. It comes as a substitute to this local bank’s working premises as earlier alone they were working from the Sector’s offices. 16 Million of its 30 Million cost was a contribution from the banks’ members whereas the remaining 14 Million was support mostly from government and other organs.
Chairman of SACCO Ingenzi Byimana, Nemeye Bonaventure said that most of their bank’s developments are a result of their members and the government. He thus thanked His Excellence Paul Kagame for his continued support to uplift every Rwandan into the middle income status.
National Bank of Rwanda’s representative who attended this inauguration ceremony Mr Claver Kavugizo, thanked members of this SACCO for having worked tirelessly to build their own premises and citing that if they continue with similar spirit they can turn into a greater bank.
Governor of the Southern Province Mr. Alphonse Munyentwari who was the chief guest of the ceremony called upon all residents who have not joined SACCOs to do so as it is a way of accessing financial security.
SACCO Ingenzi Byimana currently has 3124 members with saving of about 79Million Rwandan francs. It has issued out loans of about 50Million Rwandan Francs and long term investments of 8Million Rwandan Francs.
