Rwanda : BPR in partnership with COPCOM cooperative
Members of COPCOM in Gisozi sector in Gasabo district in Kigali city are happy for the partnership with Banque Populaire de Rwanda (BPR) which will help this cooperative to attain development.
BPR will support this cooperative by giving it credits so as it can build modern commercial houses and this was agreed upon due to different programs especially Vision 2020. COPCOM saw it as essential to develop its members and make them work in good houses desired by Rwanda in Vision 2020.
At the beginning, BPR will give this cooperative more than 2Billions francs.
Phiston Karemera the director of BPR in Nyamirambo branch said that they agreed to make it easier for this cooperative to pay their loans in any way possible.
The members of COPCOM cooperatives were excited about this partnership after being announced to them by their administration on the 20th.May.2012.
Emile Ndahumba the chairperson of COPCOM cooperative said that they have achieved success solely because of its hard working members with the support of government of Rwanda.
“We are grateful for the government of Rwanda especially Gasabo district, Gisozi sector and the Rwanda Cooperative Agency for their unfailing advice that promoted our cooperative.” He said.
