Rwanda : Ecobank meets potential customers
On November 24th 2012, ECOBANK-Huye branch gathered its potential customers in Huye, Nyaruguru and Nyanza districts.
The aim of the meeting was to present to the customers the new plans Ecobank has designed for their customers.
During the meeting, the customers commended Ecobank for the step taken and asked them to improve on the service delivery.
One of the packages revealed to Ecobank customers include salary loan, international bank accounts and ATM cards.
Alfred Kagame, client in ECOBANK-Huye branch says it would be better if machines that help customers deposit money are introduced for people to access this service anytime of the day.
Eric Rubega in charge of Domestic Bank in ECOBANK asserts that deposit machines are in place but a technical process is being done for the machines to start accepting Rwandan paper money.
ECOBANK was set up in 1986 and operates in more than 32 countries of Africa. ECOBANK started operating in Rwanda in 2007. Though it has 17 branches so far, three more in are expected to be opened in Ruhango, Rwamagana and Kicukiro.
In Huye district, Ecobank administration plans to open a mini branch soon after the existing two including one at National University of Rwanda.
