Entrepreneurs from Gasaka, Cyanika, Tare, Kibilizi and Kamegeri sectors were advised on November 16th 2013 during the event to close a 5 day training on “Hanga umurimo” (create own job) program.Fifty entrepreneurs in Nyamagabe district have been trained on writing business proposals for small projects in order to access ‘Hanga Umurimo’ loans.

Before the training, some projects in Hanga umurimo phase one were not granted loans because they required big loans that were not proportional to their business projects

This is confirmed by trainer John Munyandamutsa, a business adviser in Gasaka sector in Nyamagabe district.

“Some entrepreneurs in “Hanga umurimo” second phase presented big project proposals that never fetched them loans. However, we have advised participants to create small projects and access loans they can repay easily,” He says.

Jean Baptiste Nshuti Habimana, a participant reveals that the training has equipped him with the knowledge on how to write a project proposal and implement it to get positive results.

Business Development Fund (BDF) increases business and employment opportunities for Rwandans by allowing them to access bank loans for capital where it pays 75 percent of the collateral.
